Hi! Thank you for visiting my website.
From a very young age I have always been a creative type. I constantly drew, painted, knitted, sewed and even tried woodworking. I discovered my love for photography when I was a Fine Arts major at James Madison University. My focus was graphic design but my degree required me to take a lot of different creative classes one of them being photography. I enjoyed it so much that I kept on taking more photography classes. This might age me a little bit but back then there were no digital cameras so I spent lots of hours in the dark room. I love the fact that I started with film! My journey with photography didn't stop at college. After graduating and working as a graphic designer my friends one after another asked me to photograph their weddings. Few years down the road I decided to seriously pursue my passion for photography and went back to college to study photography for two more years. I have been a photographer for well over 10 years and have lost count of how many weddings I have photographed.
A little bit about my personal life. I'm still very much a creative type! Currently I enjoy oil painting, designing jewelry, painting vintage furniture and gardening. Most of my oil paintings are landscapes that were inspired by my travels. Ask me and I'll be happy to share more about my creative projects. Speaking of traveling and foreign countries. You are probably wondering how I got my name? I was born in Ukraine. My family immigrated to US when I was 9 years old. Yes, I still speak Ukrainian and Russian. In my spare time I like to spend as much time outside as possible especially on a nice day. My favorite activities are paddleboarding, biking, exploring new places and rollerblading.
My favorite things about photography is meeting different people and building relationships not to mention always discovering new beautiful places for photography. I love it when the couples whose weddings I photographed reach out to me to do baby bump and family sessions or families that come back year after year and I see their kids growing up in front of my lens. I'm truly blessed to do what I love to do!
